Steppin’ Out (now retired from performing) was Dennis and Brenda a two piece duet that worked together as full time professional musicians since the early 1970's, working in several big groups before breaking off into Steppin' Out in the 1980's. They have worked extensively in and around Houston, Clear Lake and Galveston, Texas area.
In 1987 they were offered the house band position at The Renaissance PineIsle Resort Hotel just outside of Atlanta Georgia on Lake Lanier Islands. They worked there for 17 years and on January 1st, 2005 they moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas to be close to their family. They performed at several country clubs in the Fort Smith area before they decided to hang it up for good. |

Dennis still has his recording studio SmithTrax Audio Video Services and is still connected to the music industry that way recording bands, creating soundtracks and recording karaoke singers. He also does video production (tv commercials, training videos, marketing videos, wedding videos), does website design as well as commercial and wedding photography. Brenda is now a Marketing Admissions Director for a local nursing home in Fort Smith. She still sings to the capacity of entertaining the residents at the nursing home from time to time and sings at various city functions for Fort Smith and Van Buren Arkansas. |

Although retired they have kept this website up for the many friends they have made through the years and have reconnected with many wonderful lost friends due to the presence of this website. We hope to reconnect with many more of you for years to come.
